Apparel Collabs at Bombas

Bombas collaborations gave the brand an opportunity to tell deeper stories, connect with new audiences, reinforce the brand’s mission, and create demand for Bombas products.

In January 2021, I took on the Senior Director of Partnerships role which was brand new to the org. On top of managing two junior team members, my immediate mandate was to create a brand new 3 Year Strategic Plan, execute some of the largest partners to date from day 1, and grow the pipeline immediately upon my hiring,

I was proud to increase our Partnerships output in my first year, leading to a nearly 30% lift in Partnerships revenue. I was especially proud to have launched with talent and brands that had complementary values with a strong mission alignment, like Cotopaxi and Sophia Roe, alongside some of the biggest revenue generators to date like Sesame Street and Disney.

From globally-recognized brands to emerging talent, the collabs team I ran at Bombas covered it all. Not only was my team responsible for managing our pipeline of potential brands and talent, but I oversaw full execution of each partnership soup to nuts. My purview covered contract negotiation, royalties management, brand narrative briefing, product design & Go-to-Market management, event activations and full content output for both the Licensor and Bombas. Partnerships at Bombas required cross-collaboration with nearly every team at the company and 12-15 month lead times.

Some Favorites . . .

Sophia Roe x Bombas

A collection of socks and t-shirts that symbolized our commitments to uplifting communities through access to essential clothing and nutritious food.

Sophia was the very first talent I pitched at Bombas - an emerging chef & fashionista with lived experience who could speak authentically to her audience about our mission.

The shirts sold out in 1 week!

Cotopaxi x Bombas

Bombas’ first-ever bundling offer with a partner: hiking socks and fanny packs made from remnant materials.

It was incredible to join forces with another B-corp to create a sustainbly-minded collection that gave back.

It sold out quickly and a reorder is in the works based on the success of the first launch.

Eric Carle x Bombas

The merchandise team wanted to bolster the kids business, so my team and I brought an Eric Carle collection to life with offerings for baby, toddler, youth, and adult socks.

In addition to the wonderfully whimsical product launch, the Eric Carle Estate and Bombas produced a series of free art events for children at the Children’s Museum of Manhattan & various family homeless shelters in NYC.
