My Lovers of 2013. . .

There aren't many hours of my day that aren't filled with music. The thought of pretending to exercise, drying dishes, flying on planes, walking (anywhere), showering, driving a car, creating excel spreadsheets, making food, or flossing my teeth without an appropriate song playing is essentially my idea of hell.

I try to expand my tastes and try new music as often as I can. Yet when I am captured by a new album, I fall madly in love with it. I listen. I repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.

Each album is a new love in my life. There's an adrenaline-fueled thrill just thinking about the moments in my day when I'll be able to switch from silence, to plugging in my headphones and devouring the new sounds.

These 12 albums were my lovers this year.

Very few of these albums were found on my own, and I am very grateful to the folks who brought these albums to me over the course of this year.

I hope you can find as much thrill from them as I did.

Happy New Year!
